About Me

Nanci M. Pattenden: Newmarket, Ontario, Canada; Pre-published author with a few stories on the go. There are three books I've been working on.

I’m writing a historical fiction based on a true story I found while doing genealogy research. Have a short story I wrote in 2000 and was playing with it a few years ago, and it keeps changing and getting longer. Way on the back-burner is a cemetery book for my local genealogy society.

Finished the Creative Writing Program online through the University of Calgary. I've taken one writing course, a few workshops, and have been attending the annual Writers Conference in Ajax, and also Bloody Words in Toronto.

I'm also a genealogist, and completed my genealogy program in 2009 - Canadian studies. Finished the British program in 2012. The "short story that keeps getting longer" mentioned about is now ready for publication. The trailer is at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjZ5YbDj6u8
